Where is it better to go with a child? Vacationing with children on the Black Sea

Where to go to the sea with children in summer, the best places to relax with children from personal experience, the beaches of Europe that are best suited for traveling with children. A combination of comfort, accessibility, price, budget, quality. I chose the best places in terms of price - quality - convenience for children.

Are children not a reason to sit at home on the sofa, giving up sunbathing, Mediterranean cuisine and romantic family walks along the sea? In no case. In this review we will forget about the traditional Turkey and Egypt, let’s skip the pompous Maldives and Seychelles, and we don’t consider options like Crimea or the Black Sea region due to the obvious discrepancy between price and quality.

"... I will focus only on the options for a beach holiday with children that I personally and my children have tested - no internet speculation or other people's photographs. All these places have three things in common - a small resort village, a clean beach and budget accommodation for a family.

Type of journey- “car” or “plane plus car” we proceed from this.

A car is cheaper and more interesting, a plane is faster and more comfortable, choose for yourself.

Bulgaria

My youngest daughter vacationed at the resorts of Bulgaria for three years in a row and highly appreciated the local resort village of Ravda and local fine sandy beaches and dunes. The village of Ravda is located 30 km from Burgas airport, next to the ancient Nessebar. This is a youth and children's resort with high opportunities and low prices, thanks to which it ranks first in my rating of beach holiday destinations for parents with children.

How to get to the village of Ravda, Bulgaria

Direct UIA flight from Kyiv to Burgas or by your own car, especially if you live in the south of Ukraine. Many people travel to Bulgaria by car, even from Kyiv. I have an article about the peculiarities of driving around Bulgaria by car, perhaps it will be useful to you.

You can book an air ticket on the UIA website, but it is better to use the aviasales.r u aggregator and buy a cheap air ticket to the destination Kyiv-Burgas or Moscow-Burgas

How to find budget accommodation in Ravda, Bulgaria

Hotels Combined (Room Guru). In this case, I have the opportunity to compare prices on different booking sites.

You can relax very inexpensively and comfortably if you book an apartment in the village of Ravda through the Airbnb service, the price starts from 10-15 dollars for an apartment near the sea. Those who are not registered on the Airbnb website can do this follow the link and receive a cash bonus for your first booking.

Cyprus

Cyprus is considered by many to be a youth and party island and this is nothing more than a stereotype. The party is concentrated only in Ayia Napa and even then not everywhere. And Cyprus can be considered a universal island, equally suitable for families with children, party people and retirees. Just choose the right resort and time of year.

Holiday destination in Cyprus with children: Protaras. It is in the Protaras area that there are sandy beaches with a shallow entrance to the water, clean water and cool infrastructure. Active party-goers will find it a bit boring here, but families and lovers of good beaches will find it just right. The best beach in Protaras is also the city beach Sunrise Beach, which stretches along the entire village and is adjacent to the iconic and cozy Fig Tree Beach. It is along these beaches that I recommend looking for housing.

How to get to Cyprus

Flight to Larnaca: Budget Wizzair and UIA fly from Kyiv; if you take care in advance, you can buy tickets for no more than $150 in the summer season and no more than $60 in spring or autumn. We buy tickets on the website aviasales.r u

From the airport, considering that you are traveling with family and luggage, it is better to use it - you can choose and order a car online on their website. You will be met with a sign and taken to your hotel.

How to get to Croatia

The nearest airport to Podgora is Split; it is better to look for tickets on the website aviasales.ru. If you live in Belarus or Ukraine, a car will be the best solution. After the border with the European Union there are picturesque highways, however, you will have to pay to travel along them (about 50 Euros to Podgora, including travel through Hungary).

By car the distance is about 1900 km. from Kyiv or air flight to the city of Split... getting there with your own transport is easy - there are excellent highways almost along the entire length, including the fresh Kyiv-Chop road, there will be no problems.

Spain

As an alternative to the popular and noisy Costa Brava (Barcelona), we relatively recently discovered a calm family beach place - Oliva, not far from Valencia. The resort is often referred to as the Costa Blanca, although it is more correct to refer the place to the Costa de Valencia.

Holiday destination - Oliva, Costa de Valencia

There is less greenery here than in Greece, but there is a beautiful sandy beach with a dune. The peculiarity of the area is that in the summer afternoon the wind blows from the sea, parents will have the opportunity to practice kite surfing. In the morning - peace, quiet and God's grace. There are a couple of bars and cafes, but the place is more for those who prefer to cook on their own. There is a store.

The peculiarity of the resort is that the entire coastline is given over to apartments and campsites, ideal for families with children, there are no noisy large hotels.

How to get to Oliva, Spain, Costa de Valencia

Buy a cheap air ticket to Valencia, from there by rented car or taxi.

You can buy a ticket on the website aviasales.ru– prices, service, interface – everything we love.

The best way to book a car is on - this is an analogue Booking.com, they have one owner. Choose Valencia airport, time and rental period. For a deposit, it is better to have a credit card with a sufficient limit - 300-600 euros, the deposit is returned after the end of the rental period, everything works - verified.

Can get from Valencia airport by taxi– it can and is best ordered online at. You will be met by a driver holding a sign with your name and taken to your apartment in Oliva. We used their service in Cyprus - very convenient.

How to find and book a hotel/apartment in Oliva

When searching for different accommodation options, I use an aggregator site Hotels Combined (Room Guru)

  • For example, all accommodation options in the village of Oliva , Spain
  • It is better to look for family resorts on Booking.com - family hotels in Oliva , apartments in the village are usually rented with a kitchen, veranda and other family amenities.

If you don't have an account on the Airbnb website, you can do this follow my link and earn a good cash bonus for your first booking. One caveat - from the village to the coast is about 3-4 kilometers - pay attention to the location.

France. Cote d'Azur

This is not a terrible phrase for the budget at all. The Cote d'Azur of France is not always a priori expensive and pretentious. The former fishing village of Le Lavandou is 12 km away. sandy beaches surrounded by magnificent nature at relatively affordable prices. If you don’t dine in expensive restaurants on the shore and don’t live in local 3-4 star hotels, you can stay within a decent budget and spend your vacation in quality and style.

Holiday destination - the village of Le Lavandou, Provence, Cote d'Azur France

A wonderful place with a sandy beach and good infrastructure. There are many hotels both on the first line and in the depths, cafes and restaurants on the shore and in the village - the difference is in the view of the sea and the price.

How to get to Le Lavandou

Buy a cheap air ticket for a direct flight from Kyiv to Nice with UIA, from there by rented car to Le Lavandou 120 km. There is a lot to see in the surrounding area - you can stop in every village. Active parents will be able to live not by the beach alone

Find and buy air tickets on the website aviasales.ru- the price there is often lower than directly on airline websites.

conclusions

If I were limited by budget, I would choose Bulgaria. The best sea is of course in Greece. Small pebbles and ice cream - in Croatia. Cote d'Azur - for lovers France And Provence. Spain– great for several families and groups.

Sites I use to optimize expenses when planning trips

Aviasales- low-cost air tickets around the world

Hello, friends, Lena Zhabinskaya is with you!

All loving parents want the best for their children. Vacation - the most long-awaited event for the whole family - is usually planned in advance and for the summer season. When a family wonders where to go on a seaside holiday with a child, many questions inevitably arise.

If you do not answer them in advance, the trip may turn into not a long-awaited vacation, but a real torment. To avoid unpleasant surprises from your holiday destination and make the right choice, be sure to read the article to the end.

So, let’s take as an example an average family living in the middle zone of the country, having one, two, three children under the age of seven and two weeks for vacation.

For parents with small children, it is obvious that the shorter the travel time to the holiday destination, the better.

On the road, children get tired and often begin to be capricious, so entertaining a child for two hours or a six-hour flight is two big differences.

In addition, on a shorter trip you can take with you less hand luggage in the form of diapers, bottles, cereals, purees, and napkins.

In addition, the location of the resort in relative proximity to our place of residence provides more or less similar climatic conditions and time zones.

As a result, it will be much easier for you and your children to adapt.

Accordingly, we discard all tropical islands, South Asia, the Dominican Republic and other distant destinations. What remains are the Mediterranean countries (Turkey, Cyprus, Greece), classical Europe (Italy, Spain, France, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia) and our beloved Black Sea coast.

The price of a holiday at sea.

Of course, a holiday in Europe on the seashore will be more expensive both in itself and due to the need to obtain a Schengen visa, which not only takes a long time to process, but also costs about 8,000 - 10,000 rubles. per person.

That is, for parents with two children you will have to spend about 40,000 rubles on vacation. for visas alone there is a significant surcharge for the trip.

Visas to Bulgaria will cost you about 3,000 rubles. per person.

If you are used to relaxing in comfort, and not in a tent on the seashore, then the price of a vacation on the coast in Russia (including all costs of travel, accommodation, drinks, entertainment and food) for you will most likely be even higher than the cost of a package tour to Turkey, Greece or Cyprus.

But in terms of price, these two directions are quite comparable.

Availability of entertainment for children.

The undisputed leaders here are Türkiye, Greece and Cyprus. A good hotel (four stars and above) in any of these countries usually has a children's playground, a mini-club and a team of animators who can entertain your child from morning to evening.

Children over three years old enjoy spending time in hotel mini-clubs, where they meet peers and where animators work with them.

In the evening, hotels hold mini-discos for kids, where animators dance with the children to fiery music. The kids are always delighted!

In an average and comparable priced hotel on our Black Sea coast, you will entertain your child on your own.

Catering for children.

In hotels in Turkey, Greece and Cyprus, meals for vacationers are usually organized on a buffet basis.

This assumes the presence of several types of salads, appetizers, main courses and desserts and the ability of the guest to choose what they like in any quantity.

For children, as a rule, there is a special children's table, which offers boiled or steamed vegetables, cutlets, and nuggets.

Many hotels also operate on an all-inclusive basis, which in addition to the buffet at main meals includes snacks throughout the day, ice cream for children, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day.

In a similar hotel in our south, you will most likely organize your child’s meals either yourself in canteens and cafes, or in the hotel restaurant according to a pre-compiled menu without the opportunity to choose. The buffet food system, of course, also takes place in some hotels at domestic resorts, but this pleasure is disproportionately expensive.

Opportunity to receive quality medical care if necessary.

At domestic resorts, you can get it at a municipal clinic if you have a compulsory health insurance policy or at a paid medical center of your choice, and also call an ambulance.

Abroad, the situation with medical care is no more complicated. If you purchase a package tour from an agency, medical insurance will be included in the price of the trip.

The manager will show you your insurance policy and the phone number you will need to call in the event of an insured event (including if your child gets sick).

A Russian-speaking employee will answer you, clarify the situation, after which they will send transport for you and take you to the hospital.

The quality of medical care in all the countries we have listed is at the highest level, so you don’t have to worry about it. All the necessary medications will either be given to you by a doctor or a prescription will be given to you and you can easily purchase them at the pharmacy.

If you are traveling abroad on your own, you need to purchase insurance in advance, because medical services themselves can be expensive.

Keep in mind that the Black Sea is inferior to the Mediterranean Sea in terms of cleanliness, transparency, temperature, microbiological and chemical indicators.

I have extensive experience relaxing with children both at our resorts and abroad. And if you ask me where is better, I will answer you unequivocally that nothing cooler than Turkey has yet been invented for children. In terms of price-quality ratio, this is the best option. In this country, it is possible to have both an inexpensive holiday in a three-star hotel and a holiday for discerning tourists in a five-star hotel.

As an alternative option, I would consider Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria.

But it will either be more expensive (Cyprus and Greece), or the nature, sea and service will not be the same (Bulgaria).

I always find the best priced plane tickets and successful flight connections with the help of a smart search engine Aviasales. I have never seen such a clear interface and such an effective search anywhere else.

"My Planet" chooses the ideal family resort.

We have selected places on the planet that are really good to go with a child. The criteria are as follows: a short flight and mild climate change, a comfortable beach and gentle entry into the water, family-oriented hotels with animation, baby clubs and developed infrastructure, entertainment for both adults and children, interesting and accessible attractions and beautiful nature.

As stated above, we do not consider distant countries because of the tiring flight and exotic ones because of the potential dangers for children. A successful family vacation is, first of all, about safety, ecology, the right choice of hotel and meeting internal expectations, so decide in advance whether you want to escape from everyone to a desert island or end up in a party place. We tried to find a compromise: small resorts near major tourist centers.

Russia: seas, lakes, rivers

Everyone knows about the resorts of Krasnodar and Crimea. But who said that you can only relax at sea? There are over 2 million lakes and almost as many rivers in Russia. Many of them offer accommodation options - from tents to sanatoriums and hotels. Depending on your region of residence, you can go to Karelia, Lake Baikal or Lake Pleshcheyevo in Pereslavl-Zalessky and spend a week or two in nature. If you don’t like fresh water, you can choose Lake Bolshoye Yarovoe in the Altai Territory or Baskunchak in the Astrakhan Region: the water in both reservoirs is salty and the composition is similar to the water of the Dead Sea. We just want to remind you about this opportunity, and we promise to do more detailed material about holidays with children in Russia a little later - this is a separate big topic.

Spain: Costa Dorada

Costa Dorada means “golden coast” in Spanish. So it is: almost the entire coast of the Spanish province of Tarragona is a sandy and sunny paradise for family holidays.

The sea here is shallow, the sunset is comfortable, smooth, many beaches of the Costa Dorada are awarded the international Blue Flag award, which means you don’t have to worry about the cleanliness of the water and coastal zone.

Each family chooses a place they like: quieter areas like La Pineda or Miami Playa with green parks are suitable for traveling with kids; If you are afraid of getting bored and crave fun, you should choose the festival and holiday city of Tarragona or the family-friendly Salou near the Port Aventura amusement park.

Families with teenagers and extreme sports dads will like resorts with the opportunity to try a variety of sports: people usually go to Calafell for windsurfing, snorkeling, diving, yachting, water skiing and clean beaches with a length of 80 km; people go to Hospitalet de Infant for mountains, rock climbing, mountain biking and golf.

Most hotels on the Costa Dorada are family-oriented, which means there will be animators, nannies, children's clubs, swimming pools, and special menus in cafes and restaurants.

What to see: The Costa Dorada is a fusion of culture, history and nature. The range includes: the Port Aventura amusement park, the Costa Caribe water park, ancient monuments, including an amphitheater and a Roman aqueduct; Barcelona is an hour's drive away. By car you can explore the entire 200 km long coastline.

When to go: Comfortable air temperatures (27-29 °C) and water temperatures (above 24 °C) usually last from July to September.

Croatia: Zaton

A group of mothers with small children or families who love peace can go to Zaton - this resort is located between Zadar and Nin, far from the highway and bustle. Its advantages are a pine forest and the corresponding healing air, a shallow clean sea with a smooth sunset, a well-groomed sandy beach, restaurants, shops and car rentals on the territory.

Here you can stay on the territory of the Zaton Holiday Resort: in a house among the pine trees (with its own kitchen), in an all-inclusive hotel, a motorhome (you can rent it right away) or even a tent. In the mornings on the beach there are free aerobics classes, there is a swimming pool, attractions, pony rides, yoga, in the evenings dance classes, tennis courts, you can take horse riding lessons, bicycles or scooters for rent. There is also a diving school on the beach. There are jogging paths through the forest, and here and there there are playgrounds.

What to see: You can ride from Zaton to Zadar along the bicycle path (12 km), explore its churches, cathedrals, museums and learn about the 3000-year history of the city. On the other hand, it’s a stone’s throw to the oldest Croatian royal city of Nin (3 km), where it’s nice to stroll along the ancient streets, taste seafood and swim on the royal sandy beach. In the district of Zadar there are national parks Plitvice Lakes, Kornati Islands, Krka Waterfalls, Paklenica and Northern Velebit. Finally, you need to visit all the Blue Flag beaches - there are quite a few in this area.

When: Croatia has a mild climate; from June to September the air temperature here is 25-29 °C, and the sea water temperature is not lower than 23-25 °C.

Montenegro: Becici

Montenegro has wonderful nature, but, like everywhere else, you need a car to see all the beauty and explore the surrounding area. The place of deployment could be Becici - a small village near noisy Budva, which, if necessary, can even be reached on foot. Becici itself is beautiful, cozy and calm: a cafe, a water park, excursions - the set is the same as on the Black Sea coast, but it is cleaner here and the all-inclusive service makes a holiday with children, even infants, pleasant and comfortable. The beaches stretch for 2 km: there are both pebble and sand - however, mostly paid. Bonus: Montenegrins love children very much.

What to see: canyons of the Moraca and Tara rivers, the highest road bridge in Europe, Lovcen National Park, Budva and its old town. On the nearby Lustica peninsula there is untouched nature, marine life, and rocks. One or two-day excursions to Albania, the Italian port city of Bari and Venice are available from Becici.

When: The water may seem cool even in summer, but in general August and September are good for holidays.

Egypt: surroundings of Hurghada

For a family holiday in Egypt, the places of Sahl Hasheesh, Soma Bay and Makadi Bay near Hurghada are suitable.

Sahl Mashish is a new and tranquil resort that continues to be built and developed. It is distinguished by the beauty of its architecture and well-groomed areas: there are hotels with sandy beaches and shallow seas, and others with coral reefs, where it is interesting to snorkel - the highlight of the underwater world is the local sunken city. There is a path along the entire coastline that is ideal for walking or cycling.

The Sharm el Naga coral reserve is located in Soma Bay. White sand beaches stretch along the southern and western shores of the Abu Soma Peninsula. The Soma Bay resort itself is young and fresh: a holiday in this place consists of the clearest sea, diving and excursions to the ruins of ancient Egyptian cities.

Finally, Makadi Bay is the only resort where the Egyptians themselves do not live. It was built in such a way that tourists would not be disturbed by sandstorms, and thanks to the high level of service, the resort received the nickname “corner of Europe.” Holidays in Egypt almost 100% depend on the choice of hotel, because it will be the main source of entertainment.

What to see: coral reefs and the underwater world, the ruins of the sunken ancient city of Isis and land-based ancient monuments in the surrounding area, the beauty of the desert that can be appreciated during a jeep safari, a Bedouin village.

When: People come to Egyptian resorts both in summer and winter. However, summer temperatures are not very favorable for children: 30-35 °C, while in winter strong temperature changes are possible. Therefore, the most comfortable holiday is in spring and autumn.

Greece: Halkidiki, Peloponnese, islands

The advantages of Greece for holidays with children are obvious: an abundance of greenery, a good climate, a responsive population, a similar worldview (Greeks are mostly Orthodox), delicious food, an abundance of family hotels and entertainment, but most importantly, a rich culture and history. Here myths come to life, and a child will be able to learn about Ancient Greece, the Olympian gods and mythical heroes, not from textbooks.

For holidays with children, the not too hot Halkidiki in the north of the mainland and the Peloponnese in the south, as well as the islands of Rhodes, Corfu, Kos, Crete (Heraklion and Lassithi) are suitable.

We especially note the Peloponnese peninsula, washed by the Ionian and Aegean seas - it has not yet become a mass destination for tourists. There are many family hotels here, where the Greeks themselves are accustomed to relax. The peninsula is rich in historical monuments and nature, suitable for hiking and cycling. For holidays with children, the northern coast is best suited - Achaia and Corinthia. The most popular resort in this area is Loutraki, it is surrounded by mountains and is famous for its mineral springs.

What to see: In the Peloponnese, the ruins of Sparta and Mycenae, the fortresses and fort of Nafplion, waterfalls, caves with underground lakes, the Corinth Canal, which runs between two seas - the Ionian and Aegean, and the national bird park, which is under the protection of UNESCO, are interesting.

While in Loutraki, do not forget to climb Mount Gerania to the monastery of Agios Potapios - from the height you can see a beautiful view of the sea and the city. If you rent a car and think through the route, you can see much more.

When: lovers of excursions and nature come in May and June. The height of the swimming season is July-August. September and October are the velvet season.

UAE: Ras al Khaimah and Fujairah

You should not go to the United Arab Emirates in the summer, when the air temperature sometimes goes beyond 40 °C. But in spring and autumn, holidays there will be wonderful, because the UAE is famous for its beaches. The emirate of Fujairah is beautiful and rich in historical monuments. Ras al-Khaimah is less popular among tourists, although it is also picturesque: here the mountains approach the sea, the climate is mild, and the beaches are clean and rich in water activities for the whole family.

What to see: UAE resorts will surprise you with their architecture and nature, unlike ours. Ras Al Khaimah offers family treks, adventure sports, archery, bird watching, raft building, mountaineering and more. Fujairah has an interesting old city, there is a Museum of Ancient Settlements with archaeological finds, from here it is easy to get to Al-Wurrayah waterfalls, Ain al-Madhab gardens and Ain al-Ghamur hot sulfur springs.

When: In general, it is warm or hot in the UAE all year round, but the most comfortable holidays will be in March, April, October and November. From December to February, the sea water may seem cold (around 20 °C).

Bulgaria: Sveti Vlas and St. Constantine and Helena

Bulgaria has a mild climate, the familiar Black Sea and low prices. The Sunny Beach resort is in particular demand, but for children it may be too noisy and fussy. Just 5 km away is the calmer and family resort of Sveti Vlas, which began to be rebuilt only in 2000. Sea air, nearby mountains and pine forests create a special microclimate in it, which is very useful for children with pulmonary diseases. Parents choose this place because of safety, calm sea, and a 1.5 km long sandy beach.

An alternative to a young resort could be the oldest resort in Bulgaria - St. Constantine and Helena, 8 km from Varna. This is one of the greenest seaside cities in the country, it is famous for its clean mountain air and mineral springs. The golden sand stretches in a wide strip for 5 km, the coast is interrupted by bays and cliffs. It is worth considering that some beaches have stairs leading to them and it is not convenient to use strollers everywhere. Therefore, it is better to settle with children near the shore.

What to see: From Sveti Vlas it is a stone's throw to one of the oldest cities in Europe - Nessebar, included in the UNESCO list, as well as to the party town of Sunny Beach, where there is a water park, discos and other entertainment.

St. Constantine and Helena pleases with its proximity to the large city of Varna and the popular resort of Golden Sands, which means you won’t get bored.

When: It is best to go to the Black Sea in July-August, otherwise it may turn out to be cold. However, warm pools will help protect against bad weather.

The summer season is just around the corner, and many parents are already puzzled by choosing a place to spend their vacation. Nowadays, those prejudices that say that a child is not recommended to change his environment before the age of four have already been dispelled. Of course, you shouldn’t take just a baby to distant lands. But a one-and-a-half-year-old or two-year-old child can already be safely taken to the sea. Moreover, the sea air and moderately hot sun will only benefit the baby.

Let's consider the most popular options for holiday destinations with little ones.

1. Turkey (Mediterranean Sea): this type of holiday is preferred by those people who are accustomed to the all-inclusive system. Türkiye has been the most popular holiday destination for several years now. After all, there are all conditions for a comfortable stay with children. However, do not forget about the heat that occurs here in July and August. Therefore, it is better to choose the end of May - beginning of June or September for vacation. A significant advantage of this route is the short flight.

2. European countries (Mediterranean and Aegean seas): recently, trips to Spain, Greece and Italy have begun to cost about the same as to Turkey. At the same time, tourists themselves choose the one they need, and the service turns out to be an order of magnitude higher, it’s not for nothing that it is considered European. The flight to this country is also not very long. As for the season, the period of early summer or autumn is again considered optimal for holidays. The only problem with traveling to this country is obtaining a visa (this takes time and costs some money).

3. Resorts of the Adriatic Sea (Croatia and Montenegro): these places are famous for the cleanest water in the sea, however, it is also colder here. Even in the hottest months, the water does not warm up above 25 degrees. Therefore, this factor is important to consider for beach lovers. However, the Adriatic resorts have a very favorable and comfortable climate for holidays. Another advantage is the short flight.

4. Red Sea (Egypt): this sea is considered one of the warmest. However, the dry climate is not very favorable for small children, and in the summer there is intense heat. Therefore, it is better to choose spring or autumn for a holiday in Egypt, but do not forget about the windy season. The flight to this country will be longer, since it is a different continent.

5. Black Sea (Crimea, Bulgaria, Krasnodar Territory): here there is almost everything that a child needs - a comfortable sea temperature, a gentle sun, and a mild climate. But there are no particularly comfortable living conditions. At the same time, prices are often much higher than for trips to other countries. But, if you are going to take your child to the sea for the very first time, the Black Sea coast will be the most favorable option.

Working all year, we are looking forward to the long-awaited summer vacation and are making plans where to go on a trip so that all family members are happy with the vacation. For some, the problems with choosing a destination are already far behind them, since children will finish school in a couple of years, and for others, they will have to turn over mountains of information in order to decide where to go with a small child in the coming summer.

How to choose a resort?

Not all resorts are good for families with children. And if earlier we chose where to go based only on our financial capabilities and personal preferences, then when going on vacation with a child it is necessary to take into account quite a few aspects. The main “to’s” usually include the following:
So that the child does not feel too hot or, conversely, very cold.
To make the baby interesting and comfortable.
So that the hotel has good food.
So that the sea water is not too cold and the beach is not rocky.
To have a children's pool in the hotel
To have children's animation in the hotel
To have an excursion program for children

And there are more than a dozen such “so that” people. Therefore, it is important to choose the right place to relax. Child's age

The determining factor in choosing a country where to go with a child in the summer is his age. In some countries it is better to travel with infants and one-year-olds, in others, on the contrary, with school-age children. This is important not only for the child's interests, but also for your wallet. Why pay extra money for long flights if your baby does not want a sudden climate change, and you still won’t see anything else besides the beach?

For children under 2 years old, by and large, there is still animation in the hotel, whether the parents are fed deliciously in the restaurant and how far to go on an excursion. The most important thing for him is a sandy beach, a warm sea without big waves and with a good entrance, and of course a children's pool (both portable on the beach and in the hotel).

Children aged 3-4 years already need minimal children's infrastructure in the hotel. The minimum set of a hotel for a holiday for children of this age is the presence of a playground and a swimming pool. It wouldn’t hurt to have a children’s room where you can draw or get creative. But at the same time, you shouldn’t expect that your child will be interested in children’s animation. At this age, children are still not ready for group games, so they will always be next to you.

Children of preschool age (5-7 years old) are more prone to active recreation, so the hotel must have children's animation and a children's pool for them, and excursions to water parks, amusement parks, dolphinariums and aquaquariums, as well as various children's excursions, will come in very handy.

It is already possible to negotiate with children over 7 years old and explain that not only children, but also parents should rest on vacation. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to talk with your child before your vacation to see if he wants to visit those excursions and the country that interests you. At this age, children can already take your interests into account. Therefore, when deciding where to go on vacation with school-age children, we recommend starting from what excursions you might be interested in the child. Climate change

According to pediatricians, it is better to avoid long trips with infants and one-year-old children. A long flight or long car ride can affect his health or condition. And the time difference plays quite a big role, because it’s difficult for a baby to adjust his individual routine.

A sudden change in climate can also negatively affect a child. Remember that it takes a child much more time for the body to adjust to the new climate. If an adult’s body switches to “charging mode” on the 3-4th day of vacation, then children need at least 6-7 days for this. That is why shifts in Soviet camps lasted 3 weeks. This is exactly what is needed to fully charge the child’s immune system.

So if you are going abroad with a child under 3-4 years old, you should choose a country with a short flight distance and a similar climate. A mandatory requirement for a good holiday with a child is a good beach and a comfortable place to stay. There are plenty of options to choose from! Where to go on vacation with a child

On our website we have already conducted a survey on where it is better to relax with children, which we recommend that you read. If you are traveling with small children, special attention should be paid to the quality of the beaches and the sea, as well as the level of hotels and their suitability for the holidays of small children, who can still eat everything that is given in the restaurant. Bulgaria

If we talk about conditions for children and the quality of service, then Bulgaria is practically unrivaled. And that's why:

1. There is no sweltering heat here, and the mild Bulgarian climate is perfect for young children. Fresh sea air, clean and warm sea will strengthen your child’s body. He will not have to go through a period of adaptation to new weather conditions, since in summer the temperature here is 25-27 degrees Celsius.

2. The country is family-oriented. Almost any good 4-star hotel has a children's menu with an abundance of fresh vegetables and fruits, comfortable cribs and high chairs for babies.

3. Hotels always have game rooms, playgrounds and swimming pools. Moreover, this is not just a “paddling pool” in an adult pool, but a separate place for swimming.

4. Hotels have animation for children and children's clubs, where you can leave your children to play with their peers under the supervision of professional educators. The main advantage is that many Bulgarian hotels have children's animation in Russian.

5. Usually Bulgarian resorts are calm, many of them are located on the seashore or in forests. There is no heavy traffic or crowds here, with the exception of Golden Sands or Sunny Beach.

6. Little travelers can enjoy a lot of entertainment: a visit to the dolphinarium in Varna, trips to water parks, zoos, water attractions, and themed towns.

7. An important factor for choosing are prices: the cost of a two-week holiday at sea is affordable for many parents and is much cheaper than in other European countries.

If your finances allow you and you have children over 3 years old, we recommend paying attention to hotels in Albena, the children's holiday capital of Bulgaria. For a holiday with babies and children under 3 years old, it is better to go to Obzor or St. Konstantin and Elena. Türkiye

Türkiye is a great place for a family holiday. Firstly, in summer it is not too hot here: +27 degrees Celsius and sea or mountain air. Children adapt to such a climate quickly. Secondly, it is a short flight, taking 2.5 - 3 hours. True, the flight is the only disadvantage for holidays with children, since there are too noisy passengers on charter flights. Thirdly, many Turkish resorts, for example, Side, have wonderful sandy beaches and a shallow entrance to the sea. Almost everywhere in hotels there are water parks, playgrounds, animation for children (including in Russian) and special meals, you can use the services of a nanny.

When traveling to Turkey with a child, it is very important to choose the right resort and time of year. For example, it is not advisable to choose July for a trip to the Turkish coast, since not even all adults feel good here at this time, not to mention children. For the same reason, Turkey is not entirely suitable for holidays with infants and one-year-old children, who may not like the local heat.

It is not advisable to go on holiday with children to Alanya or Marmaris, as these are too large and noisy resorts where children will be tired. But the hotels in Belek, Kemer, and Fethiye are worth paying attention to, since children will find it most convenient and comfortable here. Spain is rightfully considered one of the leaders of the tourist flow in Europe. At the end of 2013, Spain topped the list of countries for family holidays. True, there are some nuances that need to be taken into account.

If you, like everyone else, go to the Costa Brava or Costa Dorada, that is, to the Barcelona area, then keep in mind that Spanish hotels usually have a very modest territory and are quite expensive. Therefore, most often you have to stay in apart-hotels, where you have to cook yourself or eat in restaurants. If you are vacationing with small children (under 2 years old), this may cause certain difficulties, since restaurants and cafes in Spain are aimed at children aged 4 years and older, so you will have to take care of the baby’s nutrition yourself. However, at this age many parents are no strangers to this.

It’s a completely different matter if your child is already 5 years old. In this case, his joy will know no bounds, because... Literally everything has been done for this age in Spain: children's menus in restaurants, attractions, amusement parks (including the world famous Port Aventura), excellent attitude of the staff and, of course, the mild climate of the Balearic Sea.

In general, it is worth going to Spain on holiday with children aged 5-6 years and older, but with small children it is better to choose another country simply because you will spend a decent amount, but due to limited freedom of movement you will not see even a tenth of what you can and a must see during your stay in Spain. Greece

The summer months in Greece are the peak tourist season. But in this country, the conditions for children to relax are very favorable - the heat is moderated by low air humidity, as well as an abundance of lush vegetation. It’s very pleasant to vacation in Greece with a child - the hotel staff is friendly, and walks with a stroller in picturesque places will leave an excellent vacation impression.

A disadvantage for many Greek hotels is the lack of children's animation in Russian. Therefore, if you are planning to travel to Greece with a child over 3-4 years old, you should carefully study the hotel reviews. Still, the excursion program in Greece is designed mainly for adults and children may not really like such a vacation. Croatia

The website of any tour operator in Croatia will tell you that this country has a lot of positive conditions for children to relax. The sea is clean, many hotels are surrounded by pine trees, and Croatia itself is famous for its high-quality lactic acid products for baby food. The pools at good hotels are filled with sea water, not fresh chlorinated water, which is an additional advantage for vacationers. Another reason why young parents choose Croatia for a holiday with children is the visa-free regime.

The downside of Croatia as a destination for holidays with children is that there is still a very limited excursion program here and you will have to spend most of your time with your child on the beach. Older children can quickly get bored with this, and going on an excursion to nearby attractions is the most you can offer your child. Therefore, we recommend going on holiday to Croatia only with small children (from 1 to 3 years old), who do not need anything other than the sea. Lithuania

The Baltic sea air is saturated with iodine, which has a very beneficial effect on respiratory tract prevention. That is why Lithuanian Palanga was known back in Soviet times as one of the most popular children's resorts. According to pediatricians, there is a truly healing climate here, especially useful and comfortable for young children. Another plus is that the water in the Baltic Sea, at best, warms up to 22-23 degrees in the summer, so your child’s hardening course is definitely provided by Mother Nature herself.

And the beaches at sea are spacious, with soft white and clean sand. The only thing you need to consider when packing for Lithuanian resorts is the instability of the weather. Here you can expect both beautiful sunny days and windy and rainy days. The best time of year to visit Lithuanian resorts is mid-July, but if your goal is to improve your health, then the season is open from June to mid-September.

The city has plenty to keep children occupied: many games, carousels, toys, trampolines that await children on the main pedestrian street of the city. For older children, there is no special tourism infrastructure in Lithuania, but for kids, a holiday in the cold, but very healthy Baltic Sea will be very useful. Egypt

Despite the fact that in the summer months it is very hot in Egypt (40-45 degrees in July), many choose this country for a holiday with children because of the price. If you choose the right hotel (which is located far from discos and has a children's pool), your vacation will be wonderful. Moreover, many hotels in Egypt do not require payment for children 4-6 years old, or provide good discounts for them. However, increased attention must be paid to the safety of the child. The sea in Egypt is beautiful, there are a lot of fish - but at the same time, it is not safe. The coastline of Sharm el-Sheikh consists of corals, so the entrance to the sea is through pontoons, and the depth is quite significant. In addition, we should not forget about sea urchins, which are very dangerous if a child steps on them.

If you still decide to go on vacation with your child to Egypt in the summer, then it is better to focus on May-June when it is not so hot. Keep in mind that in Sharm El Sheikh there is no sea breeze due to the surrounding mountains, but the level of service is higher. In Hurghada, on the contrary, there is a breeze and the heat is a little easier to bear, but the level of service is a little lower.
