Order a double-entry visa to Bulgaria with NTA-Travel. Types of Russian visas

Double entry visa to Russia is a category of Russian visas that allows a foreign citizen two entries into the territory of the Russian Federation during the validity period of the visa.

Typically, a double-entry visa is for private or business travel for up to 90 days. In exceptional cases, a tourist visa can be double-entry; a foreign citizen who decides to obtain it will present tickets and hotel reservations at the consulate for the expected dates of visiting the Russian Federation.
A double-entry visa is convenient for foreign citizens who need to enter Russia twice, but would like to avoid re-issuing an invitation and applying for another visa.
Also, a double-entry visa is issued to foreigners who need to cross the territory of the Russian Federation to travel to another country, but a transit visa is not suitable for them due to its short validity period (up to 72 hours)

A double-entry visa to Russia can be valid for up to 90 days, and differs according to the purpose of the trip:

  • Tourist, which is intended for visiting Russia for the purposes of recreation, visiting historical attractions and cultural monuments. When visiting Russia for tourism purposes, a mandatory condition will be for a foreigner to reside in social institutions such as a sanatorium, hotel or inn.
  • Private (guest) - in this case, the foreign citizen is sent to his friends, relatives or acquaintances living in the Russian Federation.
  • Business - intended for foreign partners, Russian organizations that need to come to Russia for acquaintance, negotiations, participation in joint exhibitions, auctions, symposiums and other purposes aimed at developing partnerships.
  • Humanitarian - for foreign participants in scientific and technical cooperation events, cultural and sporting events, pilgrimages, humanitarian assistance.

Double-entry tourist visa - issued on the basis of a tourist voucher and confirmation of acceptance of a foreign tourist, which will serve as an invitation to Russia.
Voucher and confirmation - issued by the travel company on its letterhead with an individual number, information about the inviting party, the invited foreigner, travel dates, as well as the route and place of residence.

Double-entry private (guest) visa - can be issued if a foreign citizen has an invitation issued by an individual (the purpose of the trip is private) or a legal entity (the purpose of the trip is guest) at the offices of the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the location of the inviting party.

Double-entry business or humanitarian visa - issued upon presentation by a foreign citizen of an invitation issued by the inviting company (event organizer or business partner) and which can be issued in four types:

  1. On the form of the Federal Migration Service- which is issued at the department of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation at the territorial location of the company inviting the foreign citizen.
    Issued on a form approved by the Federal Migration Service after the procedure for considering the application received from the inviting party.
  2. Letter from the inviting organization- this type of invitation is valid only for obtaining a visa by citizens of countries with which the Russian Federation has a simplified visa regime (countries included in the EU, USA and China).
  3. Telex issued through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation- is a message transmitted through a special telex communication channel between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian consulate abroad. All information necessary to obtain a visa (duration, number of entries, passport details of the foreign citizen, as well as information about the inviting party) is sent to the required consulate in electronic form. Each such “telex” message is assigned an individual number, which the foreign citizen calls when applying to the consulate for a visa.
  4. Electronically issued through the Federal Migration Service- since 2015, the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (formerly the Federal Migration Service) began to send invitations in electronic form directly to the desired consulate abroad, by analogy with invitations issued in the form of a telex from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
    All information about the invitation is also sent to the inviting party to the email address (e-mail), which she indicates in the application when submitting documents to the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Typically, such a document is needed by tourists who are planning a holiday in Bulgaria with visits to neighboring countries. A double-entry visa is issued if, for example, you purchase a vacation tour to a Bulgarian resort, but during it you plan to go on an excursion to Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia or some other country. In fact, you enter Bulgarian territory twice. It is important to note that those who have a valid Schengen visa do not need a double entry visa.

Surely, those who are planning to travel to the countries participating in the Schengen agreement are concerned about the myths that it is almost impossible for citizens of our country to obtain a Schengen visa. In fact, problems with obtaining Schengen can only arise if you are completely unaware of what rules need to be followed for a successful outcome of the matter. What is a Schengen visa (Schengen)

A Schengen visa is a ticket to travel to countries in the Schengen zone. On June 14, 1985, a number of countries signed the Schengen agreement, according to which border controls between the borders of states that became parties to the agreement were abolished. The agreement received its name in honor of the city of Schengen, where it was signed.

The Schengen Agreement is of significant importance not only for people living in the participating countries, but is also very convenient for tourists, since after its entry into force, the need to obtain a whole bunch of visas for unhindered travel around European countries has disappeared. This means that if you have a Schengen visa issued by the Italian embassy, you will not need additional documents to travel from Italy to France or Germany. With a visa issued by the embassy of any of the treaty countries, you can freely cross the borders of other countries from the Schengen area.

Today, 25 developed countries of Europe are included in the Schengen area: Belgium, Germany, Austria, Spain, Denmark, Iceland, Greece, Luxembourg, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Finland, Cyprus, Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia. In the coming years, Switzerland and the Vatican are planning to join the Schengen countries. Most of the Schengen countries are members of the European Union.

Having a Schengen card in hand, you can also freely enter the territories of states that have agreed with the participating countries on mutual free movement: Monaco, Andorra, Vatican City, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Greenland.

When receiving a Schengen visa, a tourist must comply with the “first entry rule”. In other words, you must first visit the country whose consulate issued the visa.

Types of Schengen visas

Schengen visas come in different types and are issued to citizens of our country depending on the purposes of their intended visit to the Schengen countries. Type A and B visas are issued to persons planning to make a transit trip through any of the countries of the union. Type C visa is intended for tourists traveling for a longer stay in a Schengen country. There are three types of C visa: tourist, visitor, business visa).

Schengen visa A (airport transit). From the name it is clear that the visa is issued to people flying through a country from the Schengen group. With such a visa, stay in the transit zone of the airport of a participating country is allowed and movement within the territory of the state is prohibited.

Schengen visa B (transit). Issued to persons planning to transit through the Schengen area using land transport. The validity period of such a visa is no more than 5 days.

Schengen visa C (short-term). The visa is issued to tourists entering the Schengen area for no more than 3 months (90 days). This visa has several subcategories:

- C1 - a visa that allows you to stay in the country for no more than 30 days.
- C2 and C3 - visas with which you are allowed to stay in Schengen countries for no more than 90 days. C2 is valid for six months, and C3 is valid for a year.
- C4 - a visa that gives the right to stay in the countries of the union for no more than 90 days, while its validity from the date of receipt is 1-5 years.

Each of the above visas is divided into the following types:

Single/double entry Schengen visa allows you to enter the territory of the Schengen zone through the country from whose embassy it was issued. You can travel back from anywhere in the Schengen zone. With such a visa you can enter the Schengen territory once or twice. For example, with a single-entry visa you can stay in Schengen for no more than 30 days, but in the case of a double-entry visa, having entered the country, you can leave it after a few days, and then return back and leave again until its validity period expires.

Multiple visa allows you to visit any of the Schengen countries. The difference between a visa is that thanks to it, you can stay on the territory of a foreign state for a total of up to a year. However, every 90 days a guest of the country will have to leave it. The number of entries and exits back and forth is unlimited.

List of documents required to obtain Schengen

Requirements for the package of documents may vary slightly, as it depends on each specific embassy issuing visas.

Documents for obtaining Schengen for a group trip through a travel agency:

- international passport (must be valid for at least 3-4 months after the end of the issued Schengen visa);
- 1 photo;
- completed Schengen application form with valid contact details;
- certificate of employment (indication of position and salary);
- parental consent to leave the country for minor children if they are traveling with only one parent or accompanying person;
- copy of civil passport;
- a copy of the birth certificate (for the child);
- a document that can confirm your financial solvency (copy of a credit card, account statements, certificate of purchase of currency, etc.).

Documents for independently obtaining Schengen:

- international passport;
- passport;
- copies of international and civil passports;
- 4 photos;
- invitation to friends permanently residing in a Schengen country, invitation from a tour operator, company, paid hotel reservation;
- paid air ticket or reservation for it;
- insurance;
- certificate of employment (position and salary);
- a document that can confirm your financial solvency;
- Embassy application form (filled out on site).

How to easily get Schengen

Submit documents exclusively to the embassy of the country you plan to visit. There is no need to look for workarounds. Do you need to get to Portugal? Contact the Portuguese Embassy! Forget about fictitious hotel and flight bookings, as this can worsen the situation and permanently block your entry into the Schengen countries.

If you plan to travel throughout Europe, choose to obtain a visa from the consulate of the country in which you will spend most of the time. You can apply to the consulate of any of these countries if you spend an equal amount of time in each of them.

Nobody has canceled the “first entry rule”, but, for example, to get to Spain, you can get there by land transport through Poland or on low-cost airlines through Germany. But if you get a visa to Portugal, you will definitely be asked why you got there through Australia. After such strange behavior, it will be difficult for you to get Schengen next time.

Be careful when preparing your package of documents. There is no point in asking for help from people who are on duty outside the consulate around the clock, since filling out documents for a visa is a simple procedure. Why hire a dubious person for money if on the website of any of the consulates you can find information about the required list of documents, sample questionnaires, etc.

Rely solely on the information posted on the consulate’s websites. The information on the websites of travel agencies does not inspire confidence, since there you can often find strange phrases about how Schengen cannot be obtained without a certificate of ownership of real estate in the city center or that the tourist does not have tuberculosis.

Prepare photocopies of all documents for presentation at the consulate, and if the consulate said “all pages of the passport”, you need to do everything, and not just the first, second and page with registration.

Fill out the form legibly. The person who has to read it will be grateful for the clear handwriting, which can significantly increase your chances of getting a Schengen visa.

Lack of legal employment is not a reason to give up travel. The consulates are well aware that in our country there is a deplorable situation with the availability of official places of work. Therefore, if you do not have the opportunity to get a certificate from your workplace, then simply write in the application form that you have money but do not have a position. Remember, you do not have to work for the government to be able to go on vacation to another country.

Positive attitude. While at the consulate, do not be nervous and do not show your worries, believe in success, be as kind as possible, then a positive outcome is guaranteed!

Study all the details, prepare a complete package of documents, and the embassy will definitely meet you. A Schengen visa is a common procedure that requires some effort. Happy travels!

Today, the main and, perhaps, the only basis for entering the country is a visa. A “permissive” document allows a foreign citizen, firstly, to enter the territory of the state, secondly, to stay on its territory and, finally, thirdly, provides legal protection for the foreigner. The visa looks different in different countries. So, in Asia it’s a cliche. It is placed in the passport in any free space. In North African countries these are stamps. In member countries of the Schengen Agreement, there are stickers with numerous protection against counterfeiting.

A visa can be obtained independently or through travel agencies. The permit document is issued by the consul of the country to which the tourist is traveling. Nota bene: each state determines its own entry rules. Often, they depend on the purpose of the trip. If immigration control suspects you of “distorting the true motives for visiting the country,” then you can forget about further travel. Don't you need such consequences? Then get acquainted with the most common types of visas: from the traveler’s dream called “multiple visa” to “visa by invitation”...

I. TYPES OF VISAS BY VALIDITY DURATION

Depending on the time you plan to spend in a particular place, visas are divided into: short-term and long-term; for single and multiple entries (multiple visa). Each of them has its own characteristics and purpose.

Single entry visas

Single-entry visas give you the right to visit the country only once, and after the expiration of the period, you must return to your homeland. The purpose of such trips is usually known in advance. These are tourism, invitation visa, transit flight and business trip. A single-entry visa is divided into two subtypes: short-term and long-term. They differ from each other only by the length of stay in the country. Thus, short-term visas will allow you to move around a foreign country for 1 month. The minimum period is 3-7 days. Maximum - 30 days. In countries with which Russia has signed an agreement on simplified entry, you can stay for 2 months. The second case is long-term visas. Here you can also freely stay in the country. Duration of stay - from six months to life. Long-term visas are issued for the duration of study at a college, school or university; for the duration of the employment contract with a foreign organization. Permanent residence and family reunification are also considered long-term.

Multiple entry visas (multivisa)

A multiple visa removes numerous restrictions on movement. She is every traveler's dream. Judge for yourself: you can enter the country whenever you want, live there as long as you want. Departure is also limited only by your desire. Multiple visas are divided into two subtypes - limited and unlimited. The first case involves visiting the country multiple times. But the number of trips is strictly specified in the document. More often than usual, a multiple visa is issued for four, five, seven and ten visits. If you want, you can stretch them out for a month, six months or a year.

A traveler’s dream is an unlimited multiple entry visa. It is most often referred to as “infinity to infinity” or 0/0. The “zero to zero” multiple visa is the most difficult document to obtain in the world. Obtaining it requires maximum effort, documents and bureaucratic obstacles. Each consulate decides for itself how a multiple visa will be obtained. But if you have become the happy owner of a document, congratulations! From now on you are not limited in time and space. This multiple visa makes a foreign country your second home.

Nota bene: there are countries on the planet that have introduced a restriction on the unlimited multiple visa: “temporary limit”. It is calculated in days during which you can stay in the country. After they expire, welcome back to your homeland. In this case, your multiple visa will be called “class M/N”. M is the total number of visits, N is the days allowed for stay per visit.

II. TYPES OF VISAS BY PURPOSES OF ENTRY

Depending on your purpose of travel to a particular country, visas can be divided into: transit, tourist, guest and business (visa by invitation), study, work, for family reunification and medical services. Each of them also has its own characteristics and purpose. So, first things first...

Transit visa

This document is considered the easiest to obtain. A transit visa is issued to freely cross the borders of several countries. It is short-term and excludes the possibility of getting a job and studying. In most cases, to obtain it, a visa from the country where the traveler is going and tickets is enough. Transit visas can be single or double entry. If you are traveling by plane, please note that there is a special air transit visa. It gives the right to transfer from one international flight to another. Applies to the neutral landing zone at an airport or hotel. The maximum visa period is 72 hours. If you are traveling by car, the transit will be calculated at the rate: 1 day - 500 kilometers. How to get a transit visa? Submit to the consulate your foreign passport, a visa of another state (destination), a visa application form, 3 photographs, tickets along the route, and a medical policy.

Tourist visa

This type of visa is intended for tourists. Can be arranged independently or through a travel agency. A tourist visa allows a single entry into the country for up to 3 weeks. How to apply for a tourist visa? To do this, you will need a travel voucher or hotel reservation. This type of visa, like the transit one, excludes employment and long-term stay abroad.

Visa by invitation

Visa by invitation is divided into guest and business. The first allows you to visit your foreign relatives and friends. At the same time, it is assumed that you will not be staying in a hotel, but in their house. A visa by invitation (private visa) is issued if you have an invitation, a foreign passport, three photographs, a photocopy of the Russian passport, a consular questionnaire and an insurance policy. An invitation visa limits your right to study and work.

A visa by invitation can also be for business. So, your business partners may invite you to a meeting. For example, discuss a contract or resolve work issues. A service visa allows you to temporarily stay in the country and excludes the possibility of looking for work or study. A business visa is issued upon availability of an invitation from a foreign company, a foreign passport, three photographs, a photocopy of a Russian passport, a consular questionnaire and an insurance policy. This invitation visa can be single, double or multiple entry.

Study (student) visa

A student visa is designed to obtain education abroad: be it a school or a vocational educational institution. To obtain it, you need a valid international passport, photographs, a health insurance policy, an application form, a photocopy of your “home” passport, and confirmation from a foreign educational institution that you are enrolled as a student. You also need to be prepared to answer the consul’s question: on what means are you going to live while studying? As a rule, future students attach to their application a letter from a guarantor (special fund, philanthropist, sponsor, your personal bank account). In most European countries, a study visa limits the legal earning of money.

Work Visa

This type of visa is the only one that implies legal employment in a foreign country. The work invitation is issued by the “inviting party”. It is she who sends you all the papers necessary for moving. A work visa is issued if you have an invitation from a foreign company, a foreign passport, three photographs, a photocopy of a Russian passport, a consular questionnaire and an insurance policy. The full list of documents must be obtained directly from the country's consulate. This type of visa is divided into two subtypes: working permit (temporary work visa) and unlimited (immigration visa implying permanent residence in a foreign country).

Special types of visas

Special types of visas include private reasons for travel. So, these include a visa for medical care. It involves treatment abroad, just like simple medical consultations. A special type of visa is for long-term residence or for the purpose of family reunification. The first case does not imply the possibility of official employment, but the second does.
