The obligatory presence of SNILS is required for many procedures in Russia... Among them are the following:

1. registration when applying for a job;
2. conclusion of contracts for the performance of work, for the provision of services;

4. obtaining a TIN;

6. registration and obtaining the status of an individual entrepreneur (IP).

How and where to get a pension insurance certificate?

Guided by the Federal Law of April 1, 1996 No. 27-FZ "On individual (personified) accounting in the compulsory pension insurance system", any citizen of Russia can get an insurance certificate, which acts as confirmation of the right to receive a pension.

• To obtain a certificate from SNILS, you must contact to the branch of the Pension Fund of Russia or to the Multifunctional Center at the place of residence with documents.
• Also, a pension certificate can be obtained through the employer when applying for a job.

The term for issuing the certificate is about 3 weeks. Insurance certificate issued until the end of life the insured person (i.e. indefinitely).

SNILS is assigned to a person once in a lifetime and never changes, but you have the right to change the CCOPS "green card" in the following cases:

• when changing the last name, first name or patronymic;
• when changing sex;
• in case of finding errors or inaccuracies in an already executed document;
• in the event that the document is damaged or lost.

What documents are required for the Pension Fund?

In order to become the owner of the SSOPS, you need passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and application form a certain form, completed at the PFR branch. The questionnaire indicates:

1. Full name and gender of the citizen;
2. address and place of birth;
3. residence and registration address;
4. passport data.

Currently, registration of citizens of the Russian Federation in the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) is carried out regardless of age.

• When applying for a "green card", children under the age of 14 will need birth certificate, as well as the passport of one of the parents (or legal representative).
• Upon reaching the age of 14, a citizen can independently apply to the FIU and receive SNILS.

You can also get a pension certificate without a personal presence in the FIU by contacting the personnel department at the place of work. In this case, you only need to fill out an application, and the finished pension certificate will be sent to the address of your organization.

Can I order online?

The question of how you can get SNILS through the Internet is of concern to many of our fellow citizens. Quite a large number of people use the Internet to solve many issues related to the implementation of commercial and receipt of state and municipal services.

Currently, the Unified Portal of Public Services invites users to issue a fairly large number of documents via the Internet, however, by going to the website of the State Services or the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, you can see that "order" SNILS via the Internet does not seem possible.

There are also no other online services, except for the portal of public services, where, presumably, it would be possible to issue a pension insurance certificate.

The Pension Fund gives a clear explanation of why SNILS registration via the Internet is impossible: in accordance with the Federal Law "On individual (personified) accounting in the compulsory pension insurance system in the Russian Federation", all information concerning the insured person in the OPS system is strictly confidential and must be kept only in the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.

I would like to hope that soon this issue will be resolved at the legislative level, and citizens of Russia will be able to receive the insurance number of an individual personal account by contacting one of the online Internet services.

How to find out the number of the insurance certificate?

The account number itself is indicated on the front side of the laminated green card, i.e. certificates of compulsory pension insurance. It is an eleven-digit number.

• If there is a need to find out SNILS, but this is not possible (for example, if the certificate is lost), you can apply with a passport to PFR branch.
• In the case when a citizen was previously registered on the Unified Portal of Public Services, he has the opportunity to find out the number of his insurance certificate through your personal account.

In some regions of Russia, a universal UEC card is already used, which contains data on both a medical policy, TIN, and an OPS insurance number. Thus, having it in your hands, you can also use it without problems if necessary SNILS.

Actions in case of loss of certificate or change of surname

An insurance number of an individual personal account is assigned to each citizen of the Russian Federation once, i.e. remains forever and does not change during the life of the owner... But the "green card" itself can be lost or damaged.

• A lost or damaged document must be restored by contacting the PFR body or the personnel department at the place of work with a completed application, passport (or other identity document) and the lost SNILS number (if any).
• At the same time, within a month after the submission of documents, the PFR body will issue duplicate certificate with the initially assigned personal account number (SNILS) indicated on it.
• The term of production and issue is about a month.

It should be noted that after the loss is discovered, one should not delay it and immediately contact the FIU.

Since the pension certificate must indicate only up-to-date data corresponding to those indicated in the passport (otherwise it will be invalid), then when changing the surname, you must also change the certificate to a new one. The replacement procedure is similar to that applied in case of loss or damage, only the attached package of documents is changed.

To replace the "green card" when changing personal data, the insured citizen or an authorized employee of the employer must submit to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation (or to the MFC) following documents:

1. new passport with changed data;
2. evidence on hand;
3. the document that served as the basis for the change of data (certificate of name change, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, court decision, etc.);
4. application-questionnaire in the form of ADV-2;
5. list of documents (in the case when the documents are submitted by the employer).

It should be noted that it is impossible to obtain a duplicate or replaced SNILS certificate via the Internet.
