When is it required?

A vacation application must be written in the following cases:

  • the employee goes to rest during a period different from that specified in the vacation schedule;
  • the employee came later than the above document was drawn up and therefore did not get into it;
  • the employee goes on vacation that is not paid in.

This means that the application is written directly in cases where the schedule cannot act as a basis for drawing up an order for the employee to go on vacation.

When the vacation that the employee leaves is indicated in the vacation schedule, then there is no need for an application.

The personnel officer issues the necessary order. The employee must be notified of the upcoming vacation at least 14 days in advance.

How many days do you need to give to the management?

The legislator does not regulate the time frame in which it is necessary to have time to submit an application for a vacation to the management.

The optimal time for drawing up an application should be at least 5 days before the expected date of vacation.

By law, vacation pay must be paid no later than 3 days before the start date of the vacation. Some more time is required for accounting employees in order to accrue the amounts due to the employee.

Is there an approved document form?

There is no approved unified form for writing a statement, so it is drawn up arbitrarily.

In this case, you must follow the basic rules of office work:

  • compose the "header" of the document in the upper right corner;
  • write the name of the document, in this case the word "statement";
  • then comes the text of the document itself, in which all the basic information is written;
  • the date and signature are added at the end.

How to write correctly?

When drawing up an application, there may be different nuances, depending on the status of the employee and his employer.

How is it compiled if you work for an individual entrepreneur?

An individual entrepreneur is for all his employees the same employer as legal entities.

Therefore, when writing an application for a vacation, an individual entrepreneur uses the same rules as in the usual case.
