How to write an application correctly
Documents that are compiled by employees have a standard structure. To draw up a vacation application, you should take an A4 sheet and place the text on it, adhering to the division into 4 parts.
Attention! When compiling a document, use the following guidelines:
- the upper right corner acts as the header of the document, it includes the full name of the employer, as well as the full name of the applicant. The name of the structural unit of the organization in which the employee performs his labor function is also indicated;
- below is the name of the document in the center of the sheet. It should be written in capital letters;
- below is the main part of the application, which includes a request for leave;
- the date and signature is affixed at the bottom.
This structure applies to an annual paid leave application.
Include the following information in the document:
- indicate what type of leave should be granted (main or additional);
- indicate the period of vacation and the date of its start;
- if the leave is extraordinary, be sure to indicate a good reason why it should be granted.
It should be noted that, in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the calculation and payment of annual paid leave is carried out no later than three days before the start of the leave.
Thus, if an employee sent an application 2-3 days before the start of the vacation, the accounting staff may not have time to complete the calculation. In this case, the employee will need a reference to the fact that he agrees to receive funds later.
Additional paid vacation days
The main text will be as follows: "I ask you to provide me with an additional paid leave of 10 days from 1.05.2018 to 10.12.2017."

In particular, employees of the Far North are entitled to 24 additional calendar days of vacation in accordance with the provisions of Article 312 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. Vacation extraordinary
If an employee wants to go on vacation, the period of which does not coincide with the period specified in the vacation schedule, he must submit a corresponding application.
Important! When compiling such a document, the employee should indicate the start and end dates, as well as the period of vacation. You can make an application using the following wording: “I ask you to provide me with a part of the main paid leave lasting 12 days from 05/01/2018 to 05/12/2018.”
Application for maternity leave
The start of maternity leave is the 30th week of pregnancy. The standard period of such leave is 140 days. It should be noted that in the application for maternity leave, the details for receiving the appropriate allowance should be indicated.
You can draw up an application using the following wording: “I ask you to grant me maternity leave from 07/01/2018 to 07/20/2018 and pay the allowance due to me. Requisites for transfer: Sberbank card No. 4276 4789 8888 1290.
For child care
This leave continues until the child reaches the age of three. You can draw up an application using the following wording: “I ask you to provide me with leave from July 1, 2018 to care for a child - Ivanova Maria Vladimirovna - until she reaches the age of three years.
Details for the transfer of allowances and payments due to me: Sberbank card No. 2394 3795 3794 5558. Attach to the document a certificate confirming the birth of the child and a certificate stating that your spouse does not receive the same benefit.

Application for a study leave
The right to this leave is confirmed by an appropriate certificate from the place of study. You can draw up an application using the following wording: “In connection with studying at St. Petersburg State University, I ask you to provide me with educational paid leave from 1.06. A certificate from the university No. 335-67 is attached.
Application for leave with subsequent dismissal
As a rule, the preparation of this application does not cause difficulties. The employee has the right to receive annual paid leave at his own expense, but the employer has the right to refuse him this.
You can draw up an application using the following wording: “I ask you to provide me with annual paid leave from 05/05/2018, followed by dismissal.”
Compensation for unused vacation: drawing up an application
Please note! According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, all employees have the right to leave or to monetary compensation. You can receive such compensation both for the entire vacation, and for part of it.
You can draw up a statement using the following wording: “In accordance with the provisions of Article 126 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, I ask you to replace the additional 14-day leave due to me from 05/03/2018 to 05/17/2018 with monetary compensation.”

How many days do you need to write an appeal
At the legislative level, there is no deadline for submitting an application regarding the start date of the vacation. At the same time, the employer reserves the right to establish such a period in a local regulatory act.
Since the accounting department is entrusted with the obligation to calculate and pay vacation pay at least 3 days before the start of the vacation, we can conclude that at least 4 days in advance you will need to submit an application.
Given the number of employees of the organization and the degree of workload of the accounting department, an appropriate application should be submitted in advance in order to receive funds on time in full.

Application for transfer of annual paid vacation
In practice, situations are common in which annual paid leave is postponed at the request of the employee or employer. Sometimes the consent of the other party is not required.
If the employee initiates the postponement of the vacation, then good reasons may be as follows:
- the employee was ill during the holiday;
- the employee learned about the start date of the vacation in less than two weeks;
- the employee during the vacation carried out the performance of public duties, which involve the release from the main job;
- the employee received vacation pay less than three days before the start of the vacation.
In these situations, the consent of the employer to the transfer is not mandatory, but the new vacation period is determined by the employer. At the same time, the wishes of the employee are taken into account.
If the initiator of the postponement of the vacation is an employee who has personal motives, then the consent of the employer must be obtained.
Remember! If the employer initiates the postponement of the vacation, then he will need to obtain the consent of the employee. Accordingly, in such a situation, the employee does not draw up a statement.
In other situations, the structure of the document is preserved, but it contains information of the following nature:
- vacation duration;
- start and end dates;
- the reason why the dates or period of leave are subject to change.
